Can anyone tell me about Windhoek and the surrounding area? Windhoek looks like a safe place with a lot of Whites. I've heard that the city is very clean and nice and that mostly all the Whites there speak Afrikaans or German. Has anyone ever been there? Why don't more South African Whites go to the South-West? With all the Whites that left so far they could have easily formed the majority in the South-West instead of going to Australia or England. I think that I saw somewhere that the South-West has an 8% White population that is growing (I think it's the only country in Africa with a growing White population).

An amazing 8% white population whow, now that should be a great place to live in!, Is the white population growing or the black one shrinking due to murderers on the pampage, aids... and migration to SA.

Let us compare them to the larger "New SA" both have a racist black goverment, Murders, rape........
Now what would make you think that South-West is any better off than the "New SA"?

I don’t wanna rain on your parade, but everywhere whites gather, particularly in Africa, the vultures WILL eventually gather to divide the spoils – cause their buddies control the goverments. And as such, cunning little government resolutions gets dreamed up of how to get the gravy train going - another BEE program.

Sorry pal, only within a sovereign territory can people prosper – the rest lives a lie – and will ultimately be nullified through bastardization and genocide.

Things are not going very well in South Africa. Here is an example of how political freedom is being trampled upon.

The government has all but banned a political party wanting self-rule for the Caprivi Strip in northeastern Namibia, drawing strong criticism from human rights organisations on the grounds that this is "unconstitutional".

"No UDP [United Democratic Party] meetings will be allowed in the Republic of Namibia from 1 September. Those individuals who are publicly advocating the secession of the Caprivi Region from the rest of Namibia, in furtherance of UDP objectives, will be dealt with according to our laws," Deputy Information Minister Raphael Dinyando announced at a media briefing. "The secessionist activities of the UDP render it an illegal organisation."

In a telephonic interview from Copenhagen, Denmark, the UDP's exiled leader, Mishake Muyongo, told IRIN that "the decision to virtually ban our party is a step of frightened people who are undemocratic. They are shooting themselves in the foot - the government should learn and listen about the Caprivi history. We will never become Namibians, not even by force; we are Caprivians."

There is probably a whole lot of other bad news in Namibia. I don't keep up with other African countries, SA is bad enough. By way of example here is a headline from today

The short answer to your question - Namibia is not much of an option for desperate South Africans.

the South-West is the only place in Africa (as far Iam aware of) which has a signifficant German-Speaking community.

Despite the fact that Germany ruled the country for a short period of time, it managed to express a German mark on the country.

Transvaal, there is another thread that you should read regarding this matter. Uncle Sam recently remarked on a meeting that white people's heads should be smashed in with hammers, etc, etc. Some places might look like an alternative at this stage, but history will catch up to them eventually. As it happened with the Zim farmers who thought South Africa would be a save haven, so will it be for people who run off to Namibia. It might take longer, but it will happen.

Transvaal, I live in South-West in a town called Gobabis, 200km from Windhoek. I can tell you that we here have a lot of problems and instances of crime and murder that will make you hair rise! Two weeks ago some of my cattle were killed with home made "assegaai's", they enter the farm by foot illegaly, kill the cattle and slaughter them next to the farm road. They all have cellphones with wich they contact vehicles to pic up the meat. This happens daily in my surrounding area, as well as in the rest of the country. In Windhoek the crime is worse, shootings, house break ect. The situation is getting worse by the day!
